Los Angeles, California, September 24, 2014 - This Thursday, September 25, Mrs. Mahboobeh Hosseinpour, the sister of slain Dr. Ardeshir Hosseinpour, will speak for the first time to western reporters via video conference about her brother’s death from her refugee home in Turkey. She claims with direct orders from its Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Islamic Republic of Iran (“IRI”) assassinated her brother because of his knowledge of the IRI’s plans to build an atomic bomb and his vocal opposition to these plans. The event is planned to coincide with the annual United Nations General Assembly and occurs just weeks before the deadline of the P5+1 nuclear negotiations with the Islamic Republic.
“Western countries have long held suspicions regarding the IRI’s nuclear weapon ambitions and Mrs. Mahboobeh Hosseinpour’s claims could help support these suspicions,” says Dr. Iman Foroutan, Chairman of The New Iran; a non-profit organization whose mission is to accelerate the downfall of the Islamic regime via nonviolent means.
Mrs. Hosseinpour claims that in November 2004 her brother was contacted by 3 special agents of the IRI’s Defense Department with a direct message from the IRI’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. He sought to enlist Dr. Hosseinpour to work on increasing the IRI’s capabilities in uranium enrichment for the purpose of building atomic weapons with a secondary goal of teaching and supervising Russian and North Korean scientists in order to accelerate this project. In order to incentivize Dr. Hosseinpour, he was offered the rank of a two-star general in the IRI’s Revolutionary Guard apparatus along with ownership of three factories related to manufacturing of parts for the nuclear projects. This offer received a harsh and negative reaction from Dr. Hosseinpour who promptly ridiculed and rejected it.
Mrs. Hosseinpour claims her brother officially announced that he would no longer cooperate with the IRI’s military nuclear projects because in his opinion, those projects would result in serious financial damage for the people of Iran as well as isolation from the international community. She believes that it was Dr. Hosseinpour’s persistent resistance against the IRI regime and its nuclear intentions that led Ali Khamenei to order his assassination on January 15, 2007.
Key events to support Mrs. Hosseinpour’s account of her brothers alleged assassination:
· Autumn of 2004: One of the main reasons for her brother’s assassination was that he was the sole individual with the top credentials required for uranium enrichment in Iran. Her brother became aware of the IRI’s nuclear weapon ambitions and he began to openly resist and speak against high-level uranium enrichment for Iran.
· November 2005: Mrs. Hosseinpour claims that her brother was teaching masters level quantum physics to approximately 50 registered university students at Shiraz University. During that class on Heisenberg’s relativity, one of the students asked Dr. Hosseinpour’s opinion in regards to the absolute powers of IRI’s Supreme Leader. In response, he quickly wrote a formula and explained how the formula rejected any type of “absoluteness”. Within one hour, that sentence on the board “Dr. Hosseinpour: Heisenberg rejects Absolute Powers of Velayat Faghih (i.e. Absolute Powers of the Supreme Leader)” was distributed via mobile phone by thousands of science university students throughout Iran.
· December 2006: Her brother married one of her long time students, Mrs. Sara Araghi. Mrs. Agahi had intimate knowledge of many of Dr. Hosseinpour’s research and academic secrets. Mrs. Hosseinpour claims that the most important and dangerous secret that his new wife became aware of was a DVD that she accidentally discovered. This DVD contained research and formulas for building an atomic bomb 12 times more powerful than the Hiroshima atomic bomb and the methods for neutralizing it. Dr. Hosseinpour had hidden this DVD in his university office (where only his wife knew its location), and had wanted to remove it as soon as possible to hide it in a more secure location.
On January 15, 2007, the day of her brother’s assassination, Mrs. Hosseinpour claims that his wife immediately went to her husband’s university office and removed the DVD. Upon arrival she noticed very obvious changes to the placement of many of her husband’s office items, including the absence of a framed photo of her brother with the President Khatami of the IRI which had been there for many years. In late 2009, Mrs. Hosseinpour was told that the DVD had been stolen by one of the relatives of Dr. Hosseinpour’s wife.
· October 2010, Mrs. Hosseinpour was in Kenya and met with US representatives at the US embassy; in these meetings she provided the US government with many of her brother’s research related documents.
· December 2006: Dr. Ardeshir Hosseinpour sent a private and confidential email to Alireza Nourizadeh, a well-known Iranian journalist and member of the IRI opposition. In a phone conversation with The New Iran’s Dr. Foroutan, Dr. Nourizadeh confirmed that the email contained highly sensitive information regarding the IRI’s plans to build atomic weapons.
· April 2009: Mrs. Hosseinpour met in person with Shirin Ebadi, the Iranian Noble Peace Prize recipient, regarding her brother and her suspicions of the IRI assassinating him. During the same time period, she met with Mr. Abdolfattah Soltani, an Iranian human rights lawyer and spokesman for the Defenders of Human Rights Center, who later was convicted by the IRI for anti-regime activities.
Ardeshir Hosseinpour was born on December 22, 1962 in Tehran, Iran in a middle-class Iranian family and from his early school days it was very clear that he was a genius. During his high school education, he consistently achieved remarkable success in the areas of mathematics and science. He completed his army service in 1984 receiving special army commendation. He enrolled in Shiraz University and graduated with four degrees in just four years’ time including a degree in Electrical Engineering. After receiving his Masters of Science in Condensed Matter Physics, Dr. Hosseinpour became the first Doctorate graduate in Iran in the field of atomic physics and began working as an Associate Professor at Shiraz University. Dr. Hosseinpour’s many accomplishments including acclamations from many domestic and international scientists and executives backed by 14,000 hours of recorded scientific research and publication of approximately 48 papers and articles in respected science journals.
